Maths Talent Search Examination is organized by the Indian Institute for Studies in Mathematics (IISMA). It is to test candidates’ understanding of mathematical concepts. Cash prizes and certificates to the top rankers are also awarded. Interested Candidates can register themselves online.

Eligibility for MTSE Exam
Maths Talent Search Examination is an open exam. Any student studying in Class III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, and IX under any educational board is eligible to appear for MTSE. A student can appear only for the class in which he/she is studying during the academic year.

- The submission of an online application is a must for appearing in the exam.
- Students whose applications are submitted successfully will be able to download their admit cards and appear for the exam.

Exam Pattern for MTSE 2022
Mode of Exam: Offline mode.
Exam Duration: 90 minutes.

Total Marks: 100
Marking Scheme: Each question carries 2 Marks.
Negative Marking: 0.5 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer (not applicable for classes III & IV).

MTSE Awards
- The students who score either above 30 marks or the Benchmark Score, whichever is higher, are declared as successful. The Benchmark score is the average score of all the students for that class.
- The top 5 rankers of each class are awarded momentos.
- The top 200 successful students from each class are awarded a Certificate of Merit and prizes worth more than Rs. 3.5 lakhs as under.
- A certificate of participation is given to every student who participated.
